Three’s Company star Joyce DeWitt will play the title role in the off-Broadway comedy Miss Abigail’s Guide to Dating, Mating and Marriage, beginning June 1. Original star Eve Plumb departs the show on May 29. Miss Abigail began performances on October 7, 2010, at the Downstairs Cabaret Theatre at Sofia's.
Written by Ken Davenport and Sarah Saltzberg, Miss Abigail is based on Abigail Grotke's popular book and centers on a “relationship expert to the stars.” The show also features the title character’s sexy sidekick Paco (Mauricio Perez), who travel the world teaching her outrageously funny “how-tos” on dating, mating and marriage.
In addition to her role as Janet Wood in Three’s Company, DeWitt starred in numerous theatrical productions, most recently the Canadian premiere of Dinner With Friends, Alfred Uhry's The Last Night of Ballyhoo, the North American premiere of the Australian comedy Daylight Savings, the British farce Noises Off, Cole Porter's Anything Goes and Olympus on My Mind.
